The Deni Fertilisers team - John Fordyce, Craig Butcher, Garry Brose and Camilla Lowe.
We're excited to introduce ourselves - we're the new owners of Deni Fertilisers, father-daughter team Garry Brose and Camilla Lowe.
We're excited to have joined the local farming and business community and very happy to call Deni home.
We are originally from Western Queensland. In his early days, Garry was a stock and station agent in Winton and Longreach and later became branch manager in Blackall and Cunnamulla. After years of clicking up plenty of kilometres across the Queensand outback, he left the agents game to manage large sheep stations.
Cam started her career like most farm kids, stuck to her dad like glue - AKA providing years of free child labour!
As most kids would concede, those years were the fundamental building blocks that stood her in good stead as she forged out to make a life of her own. She went on to jillaroo on a sheep stud in Western Queensland, later going out on her own contract mustering.
A deviation from life on the land saw a move to Toowoomba for Garry to click over more kilometres when the curiosity of owning taxis as a side investment got the better of him.
Meanwhile, Cam went abroad working on farms in the US and Ireland, returning to a new career as a travel agent.
We joined forces a decade or so later and bought a fleet of taxis, limousines and started a luxury wine tour business on the QLD/NSW border, Stanthorpe.
After running and building the business to an extremely busy 24/7 operation, the wide open spaces and fresh air were again calling.
We started a campaign of buying farming properties, doing them up and flipping them. Originally starting on Queensland’s Western Downs area of Chinchilla and later Tara, we started to move south which took us to Coonabarabran, a run down piggery outside Gooloogong (Corwa-Forbes) and finally to Deni.
Moving to Deniliquin
Both our families moved to Deniliquin in 2020 to operate Mundagil, a cropping and sheep property 20 minutes out of town on the Moonee Swamp Road.
In early 2023, a farm accident changed our lives overnight. Cam's husband, John, was seriously injured and was very lucky to survive. This prompted us to assess and adjust our plans for our family and our business. We downsized our farming enterprise and purchased Deni Fertilisers.
We are excited to have a business that keeps us in the industry we love. We also love a good challenge, so we are excited to see where Deni Fertilisers takes us.
We are extremely lucky to have taken over a thriving business and are very fortunate to have a reliable and experienced team to help get the job done.
We look forward to meeting all the Deni Fertilisers customers and working alongside you to deliver the best solutions for your farms.
